CASE STUDIES

As a consulting translator, I provide my clients with more than just translation services. I also place at their disposal my deep knowledge of both Polish language and culture, as well as the conditions and preferences of the Polish market and communities abroad. These assets allow me to help clients with creating better brand image and adjusting their communication to their target audience. Here are some examples of how I have helped my clients with various projects and challenges.

Assistance with Voice Over production One of my clients is a large international company operating in the field of electronic consumables. They wanted to localise some of their video content for the Polish market. I assisted them with the following tasks:
  1. Localisation of the copy for Polish voice over: I translated and adapted the script to make it suitable for the Polish audience, taking into account the tone, style and length of the original.
  2. Selection of the VO artist: I helped them choose the right VO artist for their needs and content, based on the provided voice samples. I considered factors such as voice quality, accent, pronunciation and delivery.
  3. Supervision of the recording: I joined the online recording session and monitored the performance of the VO artist. I provided feedback and suggestions to improve the quality and accuracy of the voice over. I also corrected any errors or inconsistencies on the spot, avoiding the need for a separate recording session for corrections.
  4. Assessment of the edited work: I reviewed the final product and checked for any issues with synchronization, sound quality, volume or clarity. I also verified that the subtitles matched the voice over and were displayed correctly.

The supervision during the recording allowed us to save time and money by avoiding rework and delays. The client was very satisfied with the outcome and praised me for my professionalism and expertise.

– Preparing framework for localization: Whenever the client introduced new products or services, I prepared a framework for localization that included information such as target audience, tone, style, cultural references, legal requirements and other relevant factors. I shared this framework with the team members to ensure that they followed it when translating.
